Very Rare  Mid-Century French Quinson Oyster Plate, France hand-painted by the ceramist Paulette Quinson, Fine white pottery with six hand-painted shells in deep green with brown touches and a beautiful detailed half lemon in the middle. Masterful handmade, they are just wonderful!

Paulette Quinson was born in Marseille (1899-1984)
After finishing her training at the faience factory Sain-Jean-du-Désert in Marseille, in 1924 Paulette bought an oven and installed it in a small workshop on Picpus Street in Marseille, on the French Mediterranean coast.
Enthusiastic about her profession, she established contacts with colleagues from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. P. Quinson skillfully reproduces not only Vieux-Moustiers, but also Veuve Perrin, Saint-Jean-du-Désert, Strasbourg and Chinese decorations.
